Tip: Breathe in for 4 seconds and out for 6 seconds. It’s called “4-6 breathing and it can instantly calm a stressed nervous system.

Take time to let your mind get quiet. Clear out any and all thoughts in your mind. If a thought appears, acknowledge it and usher it out of your mind.
Stress Tip: Phone Timers

Set a timer on your phone to go off several times a day reminding you to breathe or quiet your mind. You can set up as many timers as you want.
Stress Tip: Journaling

Have a notebook or journal and jot down your thoughts at least once a day. Just do a “brain dump” to clear your mind. There are no rules for this, just do it!
Stress Tip: Cursive Writing

Whenever possible, write in cursive. It is great for the brain. It is especially good when used while journaling.

Exercise. This one is pretty self-explanatory. Get out and move, it’ll lower your level of stress.

As often as possible, turn off your phone. At the very least, put it in “do not disturb” mode. That way you can still be reached by essential people in your life, but you won’t be distracted by other nonsense.

Try to consume less sugar, wheat and processed foods. Avoid artificial sweeteners, especially Splenda. They are neurotoxins and cause stress on the body.
